Baggies Star Mikey Johnston Continues Fine Form With Stunning Solo Goal

Stunning Strike Levels Things Up

West Brom's Mikey Johnston has continued his fine start at the club with a sublime solo effort in their comfortable win over Cardiff City. The Ireland winger, who is on loan from Celtic, has now scored three times in Albion's last five games and is quickly becoming a fan favorite.

Johnston's Goal Gives Albion the Lead

Johnston's goal came in the 35th minute, when he picked up the ball on the left wing and drove at the Cardiff defense. He beat two players before cutting inside and firing a low shot into the bottom corner. The goal gave Albion a 1-0 lead and settled any nerves the home fans may have had.

Johnston continued to impress throughout the game, and he was unfortunate not to add to his tally in the second half. He had a number of chances to score, but he was denied by some excellent saves from Cardiff goalkeeper Alex Smithies.

Despite not scoring in the second half, Johnston's performance was still enough to earn him the man of the match award. He was a constant threat to the Cardiff defense and created several chances for his teammates.

Johnston's fine form has helped Albion to climb into the top six of the Championship table. The Baggies are now just two points off the automatic promotion places, and they will be hoping to continue their good form in the coming weeks.
